Spaghetti and Meatball Soup

It’s like spaghetti and meatballs. But you make it all in one pot, and slurp it with a spoon, too.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (796 mL) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 368 g Italian-style frozen meatballs
  • 225 g thin spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup shaved parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup loosely packed fresh basil, chopped

Steps

    Place tomatoes, meatballs, spaghetti, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic salt and chili powdered together in a large pot.

    Add water and broth. Cover and bring to a boil, stirring every 1-2 minutes. Cook for 14-16 minutes, or until pasta is tender.

    Remove from heat and garnish with parmesan and basil. Serve hot. Enjoy!

    If you’d like more liquid in your soup, add additional tomatoes, broth and water to taste.
