Ingredients

  • 1 pouch (35 g) Old El Paso* Fajita or Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) water
  • 4 (1/2-inch /2 cm thick) boneless pork loin chops
  • 1 pkg (334 g) Old El Paso* 8 Large Flour Tortillas
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (250 mL) shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Sour cream

    Heat grill. Combine seasoning mix with water. Brush chops with mixture. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes.

    When ready to grill, place pork chops on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6-inches (10 to 15 cm) from medium coals. Cook 13 to 16 minutes or until pork is no longer pink in centre, turning once. Heat tortillas in microwave as directed on package.

    To serve, cut pork across grain into 1/4-inch (6 mm) thick strips. Fill each tortilla with 5 to 6 strips of pork. Top each with cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream.

  • Tip 1
    Broil Tips: To broil pork chops, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6-inches (10 to 15 cm) from heat using times above as a guide, turning once.
  • Tip 2
    Contact grill: A contact grill cooks pork chops in a flash. Heat closed contact grill 5 minutes. When grill is heated, place pork chops on grill. Close grill and cook 4 to 6 minutes.
