Using frozen coconut water ice cubes in your smoothies gives a refreshing twist.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups (550 mL) coconut water, chilled
  • 2 ripe avocados, pitted, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) honey
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) fresh lime juice

Steps

    Fill 14-cube ice-cube tray with 2 cups of the cold coconut water. Freeze until solid.

    In blender, place avocado, coconut water ice cubes, remaining 1/4 cup cold coconut water, honey and lime juice. Cover; blend with on-and-off pulses until creamy and smooth.

    Pour into drinking glasses. Serve immediately.
