Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 squeezable pouch green decorating cookie icing
  • 1 squeezable pouch black decorating cookie icing
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Black licorice twists

Steps

  •
    1
Heat oven to 350°F. Line 8 or 9-inch square baking pan with foil, letting foil hang 2 inches over sides of pan. Spray foil with cooking spray. Make brownie batter as directed on box. Spread in pan.
  •
    2
Bake as directed on box or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out clean. Transfer to cooling rack to cool completely in pan, about 1 hour.
  •
    3
Using foil to lift, remove brownies from pan and peel foil away. Cut into 18 triangles as follows: Cut into 3 rows by 3 rows to give 9 squares. Cut each square in half diagonally to give 18 triangles.
  •
    4
Squeeze green icing over lower third of brownie triangle for face. Pipe black icing on remaining unfrosted top of brownie for hat. Place cut piece of licorice between green and black icing for hat brim. Place 2 eyeballs on green icing. Repeat with remaining brownie triangles.

Expert Tips

  • Tip 1
To easily line the bottom of the pan, tip upside down, and form foil around bottom and sides. Flip pan over, and place foil insert inside pan for a perfect fit!
  • Tip 2
To cut brownies easily, use a plastic knife.
