A perfect summer dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Betty Crocker™ yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 container of whipped cream
  • 1 cup of sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 sliced banana
  • 1 19 oz. can of finely chopped pineapple
  • Chocolate sundae syrup

Steps

    Preheat oven to 350˚F. Drain the pineapple and keep the juice. Divide the pineapple: keep 3/4 cup of pineapple for the garnish. The rest will go in the cake.

    In a large bowl, using a spatula, stir together the cake mix, 3/4 cup of pineapple juice, oil, eggs and pineapple kept for the cake.

    Grease an 8 X 13 cake pan. Pour in the cake mix and cook for 30 to 35 minutes. Allow it to cool completely.

    Spread the whipped cream over the cake. Add the fruit and decorate with chocolate.

    Keep chilled.
