Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 3/4 cups (675 mL) Bisquick* Mix
  • 1 cup (250 mL) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped nuts, if desired

Steps

    Heat oven to 375ºF. In large bowl, mix butter, brown sugar, vanilla and egg. Stir in Bisquick mix, chocolate chips and nuts.

    Onto ungreased baking sheet, drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart; flatten slightly.

    Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from baking sheet to cooling rack.

    Success: Use a small ice-cream scoop to drop cookie dough onto the cookie sheet so the cookies will be the same size and bake evenly.
