Fish Tacos With Mango Salsa

By DUTCH BLITZ

My husband's sister came to visit a few weeks ago and she, like me, loves to cook and to bake and to try new recipes. She served us fish tacos with mango salsa and I KNEW that I would be recreating that amazing meal for my family. She used cayenne pepper and other seasonings on the fish and instead of trying to recreate her concoction, I pulled out my Old El Paso Hot & Spicy Seasoning Mix. I had taken mental notes of the mango salsa ingredients and tossed them together.

The meal turned out so amazing that it is on regular rotation in our house. Here's how to make this easy (and tasty!) recipe.

Taco Ingredients

Hard or soft taco shells

White fish (I used Halibut)

1/4 cup olive oil

Old El Paso Hot & Spicy Seasoning Mix (or another seasoning, if you prefer it less spicy)

1 lime

Taco Directions

Preheat an indoor grill or grill pan, or your barbecue. Pour 1/2 of the package of seasoning into a small bowl with the olive oil. Stir and brush on top of the fish. Squeeze lime juice over top and grill, 4-5 minutes on each side, until the fish is opaque. Remove from grill.

Mango Salsa Ingredients

  • 1 mango, peeled, seeded and diced
  • 1 avacado, peeled, pitted and diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 3 small tomatoes, diced (optional)
  • 1 small cucumber, seeded and diced (optional)
  • Mango Salsa Directions

Toss all of the ingredients in a bowl, refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.

Fill your taco shell with fish and salsa. Enjoy!
