Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg Old El Paso* Hard and Soft Taco Kit
  • 4 oz (125 g) Canadian cream or Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • your favourite toppings (shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes)

    Brown beef in skillet over medium-high heat; drain.

    Add taco seasoning mix, and 3/4 cup (175 mL) water. Cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.

    Gently stir in cheese, onion and bacon, until cheese just starts to melt. Stir in tomatoes.

    Heat the taco shells according to package directions.

    Spoon filling into heated shells and top with taco sauce and toppings.
