Garlic Bread

A pasta meal just isn't complete without garlic bread. These slices are also great served alongside a bowl of hot soup. Mix it up with one of the tasty variations below and enjoy it your way.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped, or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 loaf (1 lb) French bread, cut into 1-inch slices

Steps

    Heat oven to 400°F. In small bowl, stir garlic and butter until well mixed. Spread butter mixture over 1 side of each bread slice.

    Reassemble loaf; wrap securely in heavy-duty foil. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until hot.
