You don’t have to go out to enjoy a batch of classic jalapeño poppers anymore! This crazy-easy recipe reminiscent of the restaurant favourite is made delicious with just three simple ingredients: jalapeño chilies, cream cheese and Pillsbury crescent rolls. Bonus: these poppers are ready in a snap! From start to finish, it only takes 30 minutes to make a big batch.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 count) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescents
  • 8 small jalapeño chilies
  • 1 container ( 227 g) garden vegetable cream cheese spread

Steps

    Heat oven to 375°F. Separate dough into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 2 narrow triangles.

    Cut jalapeño chilies in half lengthwise; remove seeds. Spoon cream cheese mixture into chili halves.

    Place 1 stuffed chili half on shortest side of each triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side of triangle and rolling to opposite point; place point side down on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake 14 to 18 minutes or until crescents are deep golden brown.

Expert Tips

  • Tip 1
    Be sure to handle jalapeños carefully! The oils that get on your hands can cause some burning, especially if you rub your eyes. If possible, use food-safe plastic gloves when working with the chilies — you can find them at the pharmacy or in many grocery stores.
  • Tip 2
    Stir a couple slices of cooked and crumbled bacon into the cream cheese mixture before stuffing the jalapeños.
