Ingredients

  • 6 cups (2 L) Rice Chex* cereal
  • 1 bag fat-free butter-flavour microwave popcorn, popped (about 4 cups/1 L)
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) dry-roasted peanuts
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) canola or vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) chili powder
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) garlic powder

Steps

    Heat oven to 300ºF. In very large bowl, mix cereal, popcorn and peanuts. Drizzle with oil; toss until evenly coated.

    In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over cereal mixture. Toss until evenly coated. Spread cereal mixture in ungreased large roasting pan.

    Bake uncovered 15 minutes, stirring once. Spread on waxed paper to cool, about 10 minutes. Store in airtight container.
