Ingredients

  • 3 large tomatoes, seeded and chopped (3 cups/750 mL)
  • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup/125 mL)
  • 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 8 medium green onions, sliced (1/2 cup/125 mL)
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) finely chopped jalapeno chili
  • 2 to 3 tbsp (25 - 45 mL) lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt

Steps

    Mix all ingredients in glass or plastic bowl.

  • Tip 1
    Storage Tip : Store tomatoes at room temperature for the best flavour and texture. Refrigeration make tomatoes mushy and will cause them to lose flavour quickly.
  • Tip 2
    How-To : To seed a tomato, cut the tomato crosswise in half and squeeze each half gently over a bowl to remove the seeds.
