Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) quick-cooking oats
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) all-purpose flour
1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar
3/4 tsp (3 mL) salt
1 cup (250 mL) butter, melted
1 cup (250 mL) chopped pecans
1 can (300 mL) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1 cup (250 mL) semisweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp (30 mL) butter, softened
3/4 cup (175 mL) orange and brown candy-coated chocolate candies
Tip: Make these bars year-round, using different colours of chocolate candies to match the season.
Substitution : Old-fashioned oats can be used in place of quick-cooking oats, but the bars might have a coarser texture.
