Impossibly Easy Ham And Cheddar Pie

Ham, Cheddar cheese and apple make a delicious Bisquick* main-dish pie to serve morning, noon or night.


1 1/2 cups (375 mL) chopped cooked ham
1 cup (250 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup (50 mL) sliced green onions
1 small cooking apple, peeled, chopped (1/2 cup/125 mL)
1 cup (250 mL) milk
1/2 cup (125 mL) BISQUICK* mix
2 eggs, beaten
1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) pepper


  • Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spray bottom and side of 9-inch (23 cm) pie plate with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle ham, cheese, onions and apple in pie plate.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in medium bowl. Pour over ham mixture.
  • Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Tip: Substitution: Make an Impossibly Easy Bacon Pie by using 12 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled, instead of ham.Shredded Swiss cheese can be used instead of the Cheddar cheese.
