Chocolate Protein Pancakes with Strawberries, Bananas and Yoplait Topping
It's our new favourite ski morning breakfast. I mean really, who does like chocolate and pancakes? Together, they're even better. If you plan to spend the day on the slopes you'll need all the carbs and protein these Chocolate Pancakes offer.
I know what you are thinking, who has time to make pancakes before they go skiing? You do, because you can make them ahead of time and just reheat in the morning. I like to pop them in the oven at 300F for 15 minutes while everybody gets up and gets dressed. Simple!
If you prefer to cook them in the morning, consider mixing up all the dry ingredients ahead of time, and making sure you have all the other ingredients prepped and ready to go. I like to think the protein powder gives my young skiers some sustained energy on the slopes!
2 cups Bisquick Baking Mix
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
4 tablespoons sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup chocolate milk
1 cup milk
*note: protein powder is optional. If you choose to omit it, add one additional tablespoon as a substitution.
Yoplait Source Vanilla Yogurt
1. Stir all ingredients in a large mixing bowl until all ingredients are well incorporated.
2. Heat griddle on medium heat. Laddle pancake mix on to griddle in preferred size.
