Shrimp Fettuccine With Alfredo Vegetables

Loaded with succulent shrimp and veggies, this pasta dish goes from stovetop to dinner table in less than 30 minutes.


1/2 lb (250 g) fettuccine
3/4 lb (375 g) frozen uncooked medium shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed (do not thaw)
1 pkg (640 g) Green Giant* Frozen Alfredo Vegetables
1 can (10 oz/284 mL) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
1 tsp (5 mL) basil or Italian seasoning
Grated Parmesan cheese


  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Add shrimp for last 3 minutes of cooking time. Drain; set aside.
  • Prepare vegetables according to package directions. Stir cooked vegetables, mushrooms, milk and seasoning into pasta mixture. Heat through.
  • Serve sprinkled with Parmesan cheese

Tip
Variation: Great with whole wheat or multi grain pasta.Variation: Substitute sliced cooked chicken or pork tenderloin for shrimp. Do not add to pasta cooking water. Cook with vegetables and remaining ingredients.
