Asian Soup Bowl With Chicken

2 cups (500 mL) egg noodles
6 cups (1.5 L) reduced sodium chicken broth
2 tbsp (25 mL) less sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp (15 mL) minced fresh ginger
1 tsp (5 mL) each grated lemon and lime peel
1 tsp (5 mL) hot chili paste
3/4 lb (375 g) chicken (finely sliced), shrimp, tofu, or fish

1 pkg (500 g) Green Giant* VALLEY SELECTIONS* Frozen Baby Blend

1 tsp (5 mL) lime juice
1/4 cup (50 mL) chopped fresh cilantro


  • Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain well.
  • Meanwhile, in a large saucepan combine chicken broth, soy sauce, ginger, lemon peel, lime peel and hot chili paste. Bring to a boil. Add chicken and vegetables, reduce heat and cook 5 minutes. Add drained noodles and cook 2 to 3 more minutes.
  • Stir in lime juice. Sprinkle with cilantro.
