Spicy Caesar
It's garden party time! Cocktails are a huge part of summer life, and Caesars are part of the drink rotation. Believe it or not, I had my very first Caesar two months ago. I KNOW. But it was so amazing (love spicy food, salsa especially) that I vowed to make spicy Caesars at home, I've consulted Caesar-loving friends and I think I've perfected the recipe. For me. Feel free to tweak it to suit your needs.
Ingredients
2 shots of Vodka (or Tequila)(My sister-in-law told me that's her secret and I haven't tried it but I definitely plan to)(For research purposes)
6 oz. Clamato Juice (or tomato juice, if clams aren't your thing)
1 stick Celery
A bloody Caesar rimmer (I use this one http://mattandsteve.com/Bloody-Caesar-150-Grams-P68.aspx) (or use celery salt)
1 wedge Lime
1 dash black pepper
1 dash Tabasco Sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
Instructions
Rim glass using lime and rimmer. Fill glass 1/4 with ice, add vodka, clamato/tomato juice and a dlash each of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco. Add a dash of pepper, garnish with lime & celery.
My sister-in-law also cans spicy green beans, and I plan to can them this year and add them to my spicy Caesar.
Cheers!
